Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) UPMC Wellsboro | Hospital Medicine UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/PA or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner/CRNP) to join the Hospitalist team at UPMC Wellsboro. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a 100% inpatient setting while working a highly desirable 7-on / 7-off night schedule that supports both clinical impact and extended time off. UPMC Wellsboro is a 25-bed critical access hospital with a 6-bed ICU, offering a close-knit care environment with expose to both routine and higher-acuity inpatient cases. Schedule & Work-Life Balance 7-on / 7-off Predictable block scheduling with extended time off Night shift (12 hour shifts) 7 PM - 7 AM Compensation & Incentives Competitive salary based on experience Sign-on bonus available Annual quality incentive opportunity

What You'll Do Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized patients during overnight shifts Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and complex medical conditions Perform admissions, cross-coverage, and patient assessments as needed Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care Respond to urgent clinical situations and support rapid decision-making overnight Document care and ensure smooth transitions for daytime care team
Qualifications:
Knowledge of growth and development principles Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.
Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:
