Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department team. This position requires working night shift. The PA or NP will work under the supervision of emergency medicine physicians to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals presenting with acute medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Responsibilities Perform focused history-taking, physical examinations, and initial assessment of patients in the emergency setting Provide treatment and management for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs) in collaboration with supervising physicians Perform approved procedures (i.e. wound care, suturing, splinting, I&D, abscess drainage, basic airway management, etc.) Participate in triage and patient flow to ensure timely and appropriate care Prescribe medications within scope of practice and state regulations Communicate care plans clearly with patients, family, and interdisciplinary staff Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR (EPIC) Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Current PA or NP license and certification Minimum of 2 years clinical emergency medicine experience preferred.
