Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Part-Time Psychiatric Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC/CRNP) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background in psychiatric care, with expertise in patient assessment, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning. This role offers an opportunity to deliver comprehensive mental health services in a dynamic setting, emphasizing patient-centered care and evidence-based practices. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through innovative approaches.
DutiesConduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and diagnostic assessments utilizing EMR/EHR systems.
Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and DEA regulations.
Provide medication management and psychopharmacology services tailored to individual patient needs.
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines to develop integrated treatment plans.
Offer patient education on mental health conditions, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
Maintain accurate medical documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards and medical records regulations.
Engage in telehealth services to expand access to psychiatric care across diverse populations.
RequirementsCurrent certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with specialization in psychiatry.
Valid state licensure to practice as an advanced practice provider in mental health.Demonstrated experience working with behavioral health populations, including patients with complex psychiatric conditions.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (we use Credible) for documentation and patient management.
Knowledge of psychotropic medications, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and drug enforcement regulations.
Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient setting.
Strong clinical assessment skills with an understanding of physiology, mental health diagnoses, and pharmacology principles.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their treatment plans.
Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering care via virtual modalities is highly desirable.
