Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering comprehensive primary care across diverse patient populations. In this role, you will utilize your advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health conditions, ensuring each patient receives personalized, high-quality care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews. Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Advanced MD Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies tailored to individual needs. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across specialties such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, and critical care to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Assist with procedures including suturing, IV infusions, catheterizations, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, spinal taps, and sterile processing techniques. Participate in telehealth consultations to extend accessible care services and improve patient outcomes remotely. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and records management. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation. Skilled in performing physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, venipuncture (phlebotomy), injection administration, and sterile techniques. Experience in acute care settings such as hospital medicine units—including ICU or Level I trauma center experience—and emergency room environments. Ability to manage complex cases involving critical & intensive care scenarios like ventilator management or spinal taps while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on health coaching and client-centered care; capable of triage assessments and discharge planning. Familiarity with occupational health protocols including Workers' compensation law; knowledge of nursing home and assisted living facility operations is a plus. Competence in utilizing diagnostic tools such as sonography or medical imaging; experience working within multidisciplinary teams for case management or utilization review is preferred.
