Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) — Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital Full-Time or Part-Time | Gadsden, AL About the Role Join a well-established, physician-led medical practice that provides the physician and advanced-practice coverage for a growing inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are both encouraged to apply. You would be employed by the practice — a small, close-knit provider team led by the hospital's medical director — with your clinical work based at the hospital. The facility is expanding, and the practice offers something rare in inpatient medicine: a predictable daytime schedule, no overnight call, and an efficient workflow that respects your time. The role can be structured as full-time or part-time depending on your availability — the schedule will be built around the right candidate. What Makes This Role Different No overnight call. Occasional remote admission orders/med recs during daytime hours only — never required to drive back in after leaving for the day Efficient mornings. Most weekdays, rounds are completed in the morning alongside the medical director; flexible documentation options available Technology-supported. Work laptop and dictation provided; AI documentation assistance available for H&Ps and discharge summaries Collegial, stable team. Physician medical director on-site daily, an experienced NP colleague, and a consultant physician — a well-run team in place for over 6 years Flexible scheduling. Full-time (Mon-Fri with rotating weekend coverage) or part-time (select weekdays and/or weekend coverage) — schedule tailored to the right candidate Responsibilities Round on inpatient rehabilitation patients in collaboration with the medical director (independently on select days) Evaluate new admissions and complete H&Ps Enter admission orders and complete medication reconciliations Complete daily progress notes and discharge summaries Respond to nursing questions and patient care issues during scheduled daytime hours Coordinate care with therapy, nursing, and case management teams
