Job Description

ANK Behavioral Health is a growing outpatient psychiatric practice seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our team part-time. We are looking for a provider who is reliable, communicative, clinically thoughtful, and confident in psychiatric medication management. We would ideally love to find someone who is interested in becoming a long-term part of our practice and growing with us as their caseload develops . The position is 1-2 days per week with flexibility in scheduling . Most appointments are provided remotely via telehealth. The provider must also be available to see patients in person at our Mount Laurel office on Thursdays at least one day per month . About the Position ANK Behavioral Health provides outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management to adults throughout New Jersey. New psychiatric evaluations are 90 minutes Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes Primarily remote/telehealth Limited in-person appointments in Mount Laurel Flexible part-time schedule Opportunity to develop a consistent patient caseload within an established and growing practice We value thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care and do not operate as a high-volume, rushed medication-management practice. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management Develop individualized treatment plans Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications Review relevant laboratory results and medication monitoring Respond to patient messages, refill requests, and pharmacy concerns Complete medication prior authorizations when necessary Coordinate care with therapists and other healthcare providers when appropriate Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Appropriately recognize when a patient requires a higher level of care Providers are expected to take responsibility for the ongoing clinical management of the patients they treat, including appropriate follow-up between scheduled appointments. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is: Reliable and dependable Responsive with strong communication skills Organized with excellent follow-through Experienced in outpatient psychiatric medication management Knowledgeable and confident in psychopharmacology Detail-oriented regarding medication dosing, interactions, monitoring, and safety Comfortable practicing independently while seeking consultation when appropriate Compassionate and professional with patients Interested in developing a long-term role within a small, growing private practice Prior outpatient psychiatric medication-management experience is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications Applicants must have:
Current and unrestricted New Jersey APN license Current
PMHNP-BC
certification through ANCC Current NPI Current and active New Jersey CDS registration Current and active DEA registration Ability to participate in commercial insurance credentialing Ability to provide psychiatric telehealth services to patients located in New Jersey
IMPORTANT
Candidates must not currently own, operate, or be actively building their own independent psychiatric or mental health private practice/business. This is a firm requirement for this position. Employment with another organization may be acceptable provided there is no conflict of interest and it does not interfere with the agreed-upon schedule or responsibilities with ANK Behavioral Health. Schedule & Location 1-2 days per week with flexible scheduling. The position is primarily remote , with availability required for in-person appointments at our Mount Laurel, NJ office on Thursdays at least one day per month . Compensation $80-$100 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. This is a part-time W-2 position .
