About this role: As a PRN Neuro-Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP; Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), you will work with a high-performing, patient-centered team committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience on a highly collaborative team. Intermountain Medical Center (IMED) is Intermountain Health's flagship hospital, based in Salt Lake City, Utah and is a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level 1 Trauma Center, Level 4 Epilepsy Center, Joint Commission Certified Spine Center. IMED supports neuroscience academic research and has foundational support, ranked as a top hospital by U.S. News and World Reports, 5-star CMS ranking and, Leapfrog grade A. In this role you can anticipate: Working PRN, as needed; 1 shift per 4-weeks minimum 12-hour shifts, including days (7a-7p), nights (7p-7a), weekends, and holidays Providing 24-hour coverage for the 24-bed IMED Neurocritical Care Unit; practice includes: admissions, discharges, transfers, rounding, procedures, etc. Providing inpatient neurocritical care consults in IMED medical/surgical/trauma/thoracic ICUs No clinic responsibilities associated with this position; inpatient only Joining a well-established and highly collaborative team of 7 APP's, and 8 NCC Physicians An ideal candidate will have Neuro Critical Care, Critical Care, and/or Neurology experience. Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and•Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
