Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and community resources. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and staff training to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes. Experience Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with active state licensure. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring acute or chronic psychiatric care. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such Athenahealth for medical documentation and patient management. Experience administering psychotropic medications along with knowledge of psychopharmacology principles. Familiarity with telehealth platforms to provide remote psychiatric consultations effectively. Background working in various healthcare settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals (Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred), inpatient units, or community mental health programs.
