Position Summary This is a full-time, W2 position combining on-site care within senior living communities and telehealth-based care. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, highly empathetic, and passionate about working with geriatric patients, including individuals with complex psychiatric, cognitive, and medical needs. The PMHNP will conduct psychiatric evaluations, provide ongoing medication management, and collaborate closely with Theris clinical leadership, psychiatrists, facility staff, patients, and families to deliver coordinated, high-quality behavioral healthcare. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for outpatient clients Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with the best medical practices and regulations Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation Order and review labs as clinically indicated Collaborate with a supervising/collaborating psychiatrist on complex cases Provide patient-centered care with strong emphasis on empathy, active listening, and respect Deliver care primarily via telehealth as well as in-person as needed
Schedule & Workload Commitment:
Full-time Travel between assigned senior living communities may be required Theris will provide dedicated administrative support for scheduling, billing, and practice operations Access to Theris clinical leadership and collaborating psychiatrists for consultation and complex cases Technology-enabled workflows designed to reduce administrative burden and support timely clinical documentation Compensation $150,000 - $200,000 annual compensation Base salary plus productivity-based incentive structure with additional earning potential based on patient volume and productivity, where applicable Required Qualifications Active PMHNP license in NJ Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience as a PMHNP (newer providers with strong confidence and training will be considered) Active DEA license Ability to practice under a collaborative physician agreement (existing relationship preferred) Strong clinical judgment and comfort with medication prescribing and management Excellent documentation habits High level of professionalism, reliability, and ethical conduct Preferred Qualifications Experience in outpatient psychiatry and/or telehealth Background working with a variety of psychiatric conditions Additional certification as an FNP (bonus, not required) Licensure in New York and Pennsylvania is a plus What We Value Empathy and compassion for patients in vulnerable moments Strong communication and active listening skills Eagerness to learn and grow within a developing practice Commitment to long-term collaboration rather than short-term contract work Respect for patients as individuals, not numbers Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Malpractice insurance coverage Credentialing and licensing support Additional standard employee benefits and eligibility details will be provided during the interview and offer process.
