In this role, you will provide expert psychiatric care, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans to support patients across diverse settings. Responsibilities Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status exams, and risk assessments. Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements. Develop individualized treatment plans integrating psychotherapy, medication management, and other therapeutic modalities. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care effectively. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and medical records management. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health services for diverse populations. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies to foster recovery. Skills Proven experience working with behavioral health patients, including those with complex psychiatric conditions. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration, and drug interactions. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations when needed. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of medical information. Experience working in diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or inpatient units is highly desirable. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare providers.
