Position Overview The Intake Coordinator plays an essential role in our practice, serving as the primary point of contact for our patients and acting as the first line of communication between patients and providers. Working under the guidance of the office manager, this role is crucial in upholding our dedication to delivering top-tier service with an emphasis on identifying and managing crucial insurance details.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the initial point of contact for patients seeking appointments. Working seamlessly with other internal teams (Clinical, Marketing, Administrative, etc.) to ensure timely handling of priority patients. Create and manage patient accounts, ensuring accurate demographic, referral and insurance information. Schedule and allocate patient's appointments based on availability and medical priorities. Respond to customer inquiries regarding insurance coverage. Verify Insurance information and coverage details & identify any discrepancies.Qualifications:
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills via telephone, email and working with staff. Ability to deliver superb customer service as well as good judgement when interacting with patients. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask. Experience with eCW (or similar EHR platform). Ability to identify insurance and distinguish benefits. Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies. Good work ethic.Location/Salary:
