In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive mental health services to diverse patient populations, utilizing your advanced clinical skills and psychiatric expertise. Your proactive approach will help improve patient outcomes through personalized assessments, medication management, and collaborative care. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking energetic, motivated professionals eager to make a meaningful difference in mental health treatment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for patients across age groups, including children and geriatrics. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications following best practices and compliance with DEA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including primary care providers and specialists, to develop integrated treatment plans. Utilize our electronic health record (EHR) system Simple Practice Provide telehealth consultations, ensuring clear communication and compassionate support for remote patients. Optionally, you are welcome to provide in-person services at our clinics in Brea and Placentia. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication usage, and coping strategies to promote recovery and well-being. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of all medical records and patient information. Our clinic will provide a Collaborating Psychiatrist. Option to increase to full time (27 hours/week) Skills Current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in California. Proven experience working with diverse populations, including behavioral health, geriatrics, pediatrics, or hospice & palliative medicine. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication management, and clinical research methodologies. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to assess complex mental health needs accurately. Experience in telehealth platforms delivering remote psychiatric care effectively. Ability to collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals across disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
