Header Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and diagnostic assessments using advanced EMR systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks. Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, ensuring safe medication management and drug enforcement compliance. Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, primary care providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes. Manage telehealth consultations, providing accessible mental health services to diverse populations across various settings. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), maintaining meticulous medical documentation and medical records for legal compliance. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and available community resources. Stay current with clinical research developments and maintain licensure requirements through ongoing professional development in areas such as psychopharmacology, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health. Header Skills Extensive experience working with electronic health records (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks) and EMR/EHR management systems. Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, including psychopharmacology principles and prescribing regulations. Proficiency in conducting clinical assessments across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, memory care, dementia care, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Skilled in patient assessment techniques such as vital signs measurement, physical examinations, mental status evaluations, and diagnostic evaluation tools like ICD-10 coding. Experience delivering telehealth services with excellent client communication skills in a virtual environment. Familiarity with collaborative practice agreements and advanced practice provider responsibilities within a multidisciplinary team setting. Knowledge of critical care practices such as acute pain management, triage procedures, ICU experience, hospital medicine protocols, and emergency medicine procedures including airway management and ventilator support. Ability to perform specialized procedures such as suturing, venipuncture (phlebotomy), IV insertion/infusion therapy, spinal taps, catheterization (urinary or vascular), dermal fillers or esthetic laser treatments when applicable. Competence in managing complex cases involving substance use disorders or infectious disease care while adhering to HIPAA standards for medical documentation and client confidentiality.
