Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using EMR/EHR systems. Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals under collaborative practice agreements. Manage medication administration, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment protocols accordingly to optimize outcomes. Provide psychotherapy services utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to patients' needs, including behavioral health interventions. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medication management, and coping strategies to promote recovery and well-being. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with valid state licensure. Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Proficiency in Optimantra EHR is a plus. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, diagnosis coding (ICD-10), CPT coding, and medication management regulations including DEA compliance. Experience providing telehealth services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health care. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments. Flexibility and ability to have fun are essential!
