Job Description

Inspiring Purpose Counseling Group (IPCG) is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician (MD/DO) to join our growing behavioral health practice as an independent contractor. This position is ideal for a provider who values clinical autonomy, schedule flexibility, culturally responsive care, and an integrated approach to mental and behavioral health treatment . The provider will work alongside our clinical team to offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing coordination of care for clients receiving services within the practice. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Compensation 70/30 reimbursement split , with the provider receiving 70% of collected reimbursement for eligible direct client services Compensation is based on direct client hours/services only Providers have flexibility in establishing their schedules within practice needs and agreed-upon availability For providers transitioning into a full-time caseload, a 60-90 day ramp-up period should be anticipated as the caseload is established Scheduling & AvailabilityFull-Time Contractor Approximately 25-30 direct client hours per week Monday-Friday availability Remote/telehealth availability on Mondays and Fridays Flexibility to establish your own schedule One later evening per week, with the final appointment ending no later than 7:00 PM One Saturday per month Part-Time Contractor Approximately 10-15 direct client hours per week Flexible scheduling and ability to establish your own hours Remote/telehealth availability on Mondays and Fridays One later evening per week, with the final appointment ending no later than 7:00 PM One Saturday per month Primary Responsibilities The PMHNP or physician will: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Provide ongoing medication management and monitoring Assess medication effectiveness, side effects, adherence, and treatment response Develop individualized medication and treatment recommendations Educate clients regarding diagnoses, medications, potential side effects, risks, benefits, and treatment options Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Coordinate care with therapists and other members of the client's treatment team when clinically appropriate Make referrals for additional medical, psychiatric, or community-based services as needed Maintain appropriate prescribing practices and comply with applicable federal and state regulations Participate in collaborative treatment planning to support continuity of care Maintain professional boundaries and culturally responsive, client-centered clinical practices Attend & support client programming, staff and clinical team meetings Preferred Clinical Experience Candidates should have experience assessing and treating individuals with a variety of mental health concerns, including but not limited to: Depression and other mood disorders Anxiety disorders ADHD Trauma- and stressor-related disorders Bipolar disorders Psychotic disorders Personality disorders Sleep-related concerns Other behavioral and emotional health conditions Experience providing services to communities of color, historically underserved communities, and/or other minority populations is strongly preferred and considered a plus . We value providers who demonstrate cultural humility and understand how identity, culture, systemic barriers, and lived experiences can influence mental health and engagement in treatment. Additional Medical Services Candidates who are also appropriately trained, licensed, and credentialed to provide family or primary care services are encouraged to apply. For providers with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), primary care, family medicine, or similar background, IPCG is interested in exploring the opportunity to provide medication management for appropriate general medical conditions in addition to psychiatric medication management , when within the provider's scope of practice, competency, licensure, and credentialing. Qualifications Active and unrestricted Ohio license as a PMHNP, MD, or DO , as applicable Appropriate prescriptive authority DEA registration, when required for the services provided Experience with psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management Knowledge of commonly prescribed psychiatric medications, contraindications, interactions, monitoring requirements, and evidence-based prescribing practices Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centered care Ability to provide both in-person and telehealth services as required by the position Familiarity with CPT codes & billing Full-Time Benefits & Practice Support Eligible full-time providers receive access to: Flexible scheduling Ability to establish your own schedule within position requirements 401(k) $500 annual stipend toward professional, general liability insurance renewal and/or mental health Designated private office Practice-provided computer and necessary office workspace Hybrid scheduling with designated remote availability Administrative and practice support Part-Time Benefits & Practice Support Part-time providers receive: Flexible scheduling Ability to establish their own hours within agreed-upon coverage requirements Hybrid/remote work opportunities on designated days Collaborative clinical environment and practice support Why Join Inspiring Purpose Counseling Group?
