Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties Conduct detailed psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments across various age groups, utilizing advanced clinical skills and physiology knowledge. Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans. Manage medication administration, including injections, IV infusions, and dermal fillers, while adhering to HIPAA and DEA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines such as internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and behavioral health to develop integrated treatment strategies. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Practice Fusion for accurate medical documentation, medical records management, and clinical research documentation. Provide patient care through physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment planning tailored to individual needs. Engage in telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for remote or underserved populations. Requirements Valid state license as a Nurse Practitioner with certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Demonstrated experience working with children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth; experience with Cerner or eClinicalWorks is a plus. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, including medication management for acute pain, anxiety disorders, depression, and other mental health conditions. Critical care experience or ICU background is beneficial for managing complex cases requiring advanced physiological assessment. Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes; understanding of Workers' Compensation law and hospice & palliative medicine practices is advantageous. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment options and promote health coaching initiatives. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities.
