Inner City Family Services (ICFS) is a behavioral health organization committed to providing high-quality, community-based mental health and substance use services. As we expand our services in Detroit, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team and support our growing consumer population.
Position Summary:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN) will provide Medication/Somatic services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing clinical support to consumers with mental health and co-occurring disorders. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within an underserved community.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and leadership to ensure coordinated care Participate in case consultations and team meetings as needed Ensure compliance with all applicable state, Medicaid, and organizational standards
Required Qualifications:
Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) in the State of Michigan Board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Current DEA license and prescriptive authority in Michigan Experience providing psychiatric services to diverse populations, including adults and/or children/adolescents Strong knowledge of psychotropic medications and best practices in behavioral health treatment Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong documentation and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in community-based behavioral health or outpatient settings Experience working with Medicaid populations Familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., TheraNest or similar platforms) Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
Work Schedule & Flexibility:
Flexible scheduling options available Telehealth and in-person service delivery options (based on program needs)
Pay:
$48.00 - $65.00 per hour
