Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to support our growing patient population. This role is ideal for a provider who values meaningful patient relationships, high-quality documentation, and collaborative care. The PMHNP will work closely with the Practice Owner/Lead Provider and a collaborating psychiatrist, with the opportunity to grow hours over time. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, starting part-time with the potential to expand based on fit, performance, and patient demand. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for outpatient clients Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with medical best practices and Pennsylvania regulations Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation Order and review labs as clinically indicated Collaborate with a supervising/collaborating psychiatrist on complex cases Provide patient-centered care with strong emphasis on empathy, active listening, and respect Utilize the practice's EMR system (Kareo) for documentation and scheduling Deliver care primarily via telehealth in a remote setting Schedule & Workload Initial commitment: approximately 1 day a week to start with potential for full-time in the future Opportunity to increase hours over time based on performance and practice needs Flexible scheduling; ability to maintain other professional commitments permitted No on-call or travel requirements Compensation $80-$100 per hour, based on experience Compensation structure tied to patient volume and billing Potential for future performance-based incentives or expanded compensation discussions as the role grows Required Qualifications Active PMHNP license in Pennsylvania Minimum 1 year of experience as a PMHNP (newer providers with strong confidence and training will be considered) Active DEA license Ability to practice under a collaborative physician agreement (existing relationship preferred) Strong clinical judgment and comfort with medication prescribing and management Excellent documentation habits High level of professionalism, reliability, and ethical conduct Preferred Qualifications Experience in outpatient psychiatry and/or telehealth Background working with a variety of psychiatric conditions, including substance use disorders Additional certification as an FNP (bonus, not required) Licensure in Maryland, PA and/or New York What We Value Empathy and compassion for patients in vulnerable moments Strong communication and active listening skills Eagerness to learn and grow within a developing practice Commitment to long-term collaboration rather than short-term contract work Respect for patients as individuals, not numbers
