Obtain Contact Information Job Summary SUMMARY The Behavioral Health division of Lincoln County Health and Human Services is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to help in providing mental health care to our community. This person will independently provide health care to clients with mental and emotional needs and disorders in Primary Care and Behavioral Health settings.

REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. Current Nurse Practitioner Certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in the State of Oregon at the time of appointment. Possession of a National Certificate for Medicare, or the ability to obtain one by the end of trial service (6 full months from date of hire). Oregon Driver's License required within 30 days of hire.

PREFERENCES

Two years or more of experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner is preferred.

JOB DUTIES

Within the specialty of the Nurse Practitioner (NP), they are responsible for managing health problems encountered by the client and is accountable for health outcomes. Provide treatment of adult, adolescent, and pediatric clients in Primary Care and Mental Health settings. Assist with planning, developing, and education of health providers about behavioral health issues and the impact of these issues on client care. Participate in educational meetings as available and appropriate. Audit peer records upon request from Program Manager, Deputy Directors or Health Center Medical Director to evaluate level of care provided and whether documentation standards are met. Participate in or leads quality improvement activities to support high-performance quality care. •
