Description . This is a contract, on-site position that offers an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider to deliver high-quality patient care in a critical care setting while enjoying the flexibility of a locum assignment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing critically ill patients, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards of care in a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital part in supporting the practice's mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to the Chattanooga community, working alongside experienced professionals who value teamwork and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in an on-site medical practice setting Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams to manage complex cases Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed in critical care units Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in electronic medical records Participate in rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making for critical care patients Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management Ensure compliance with medical practice protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Maintain effective communication with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals Stay current with advancements in critical care medicine and best practices Requirements Associate-level experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Current and valid NP or PA licensure in the state of practice Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Experience in critical care or acute care settings Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care Flexibility to work on-site in Chattanooga on a contract basis
