PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform patient assessments; obtain patient medical and social histories, diagnostic testing, and take vital signs. Evaluate signs and symptoms. Interpret/evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results. Monitor/review patient care and treatment plans. Provide education and counseling of patient and family in preventative care, medical conditions, and use of prescribed treatments/drugs. Refer patients to physicians or other healthcare professionals/facilities as needed and monitors outcome of the referral. Provide on-call coverage for evenings and weekends as needed. Maintain patient confidentiality. Follow all organizational and governmental healthcare policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Nurse Practitioner - bachelor's degree in nursing and successful completion of a nurse practitioner program at the master level Physician Assistant - Graduate of accredited PA program
EXPERIENCE
Three or more years of professional experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, ideally in the specific area.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Registered Nurse Licensure ANCC Certified as a nurse practitioner in a specialty area or
