A Nurse Practitioner provides primary care and nursing care to patients. Performs physical exams, orders diagnostic tests, and provides medications. Works in a physician's office or other healthcare facility, under the direction of a physician. Performs work similar to that of a physician assistant but has different medical training and degree.

He is also board certified in Lipidology and has special training in preventive cardiology. We have many long-term patients and are looking for 1 new Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team of professional care givers. Summary Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care and demonstrate proficiency in Primary Care /Internal Medicine. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to providing high-quality care to patients. Salary is negotiable. Flexible hours & days worked, to be discussed during interview. This could be a flexible schedule position or full time. We are willing to work with the right person for the position. No nights or weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:
Work independently but with a collaborative physician available at all times. Treat patients ages 18 and up Perform Annual Wellness Visits, 360 Exams, Physical Exams Treat urgent care patients for visits and follow up visits Treat patients for follow up hospital visits Treat new patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
Order / Prescribe
medications, vaccines as needed Order diagnostic testing and interpret laboratory results. Provide management for patients with chronic conditions. Collaborate with physician, insurance companies, ACO to ensure continuity of care. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for accurate documentation of patient information. Engage in health education for patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options. Maintain compliance with
HIPAA , OSHA
regulations, infection control, all other required protocols. Requirements Master's degree in Nursing or related field with an active Nurse Practitioner license. Experience in primary care, internal medicine, geriatrics patients. Proficiency or willingness to learn EMR software programs and other software programs for data entry of medical measures in Health Spring Arcadia, Availity, ACO Software for Provider Assessment Forms information used for annual visits. Strong clinical skills in areas such as primary care, chronic conditions, some small in office procedures (suturing, etc). Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, CPT Coding including Category II CPT Coding.
