Job Description
About Magnolia Medical Centers Magnolia Medical Centers is a functional and integrative medicine practice that's served the Murfreesboro area for over 14 years. Our care team works together on every case, pairing clinical expertise with health coaching, case management, and a client experience that actually feels like someone's paying attention. The Role We're adding an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to our clinical team, practicing under the required Tennessee collaborative/supervisory agreement for your license type. You'll manage a full patient panel using a root-cause, functional medicine approach — ordering and interpreting functional lab work, building individualized treatment plans, and working alongside our health coaches and case managers to keep patients engaged between visits. This is a full patient-care role, not a consulting or oversight-only position. Our Care Model We don't operate like a typical functional medicine practice that still runs on a pay-per-visit, insurance-style structure. Patients enroll in a defined program — not a series of one-off appointments. Think of it less like a walk-in clinic and more like bringing your car to a trusted mechanic: you're not paying by the hour to have someone poke around and reorder the same tests every few months. Patients get a full diagnostic workup, a provider-built plan targeting what's actually driving the problem, and a defined path through that plan to completion, with a team supporting them the whole way. As the provider, you're not seeing patients for isolated complaints and moving on to the next chart. You're designing and overseeing a structured, restorative plan of care for each patient's full enrollment — working closely with health coaches and case managers who handle day-to-day support so you can stay focused on the clinical picture. This is a cash-pay, program-based model, not an insurance-based, per-visit primary care structure. Comfort with supplement and nutraceutical protocols as a core clinical tool — not an occasional add-on — is essential. What We Require Active NP or PA license in Tennessee, or ability to obtain one Hands-on professional experience practicing functional, integrative, or root-cause medicine Comfortable ordering and interpreting functional lab panels (hormone, GI, micronutrient, autoimmune) Strong working knowledge of supplement and nutraceutical protocols Strong communicator who works well in a team-based care model Nice to Have Experience with chronic disease reversal, thyroid/hormone imbalance, gut health, or autoimmune conditions Comfortable in a growing, entrepreneurial clinical environment where protocols are still evolving Comfort with AI Notetakers for
