Full Job Description Duties:
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients, including infants and children of all ages
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses and injuries
  • Administer immunizations and provide preventive care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as needed
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems, such as Cerner, to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
  • Participate in utilization management activities to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources
Requirements:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
  • Previous experience in pediatric primary care preferred
  • Proficiency in performing infant care procedures, such as administering vaccines and conducting developmental assessments
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently
