Full Job Description Duties:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients, including infants and children of all ages
- Perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses and injuries
- Administer immunizations and provide preventive care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies
- Prescribe medications and treatments as needed
- Utilize electronic medical record systems, such as Cerner, to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in utilization management activities to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
- Previous experience in pediatric primary care preferred
- Proficiency in performing infant care procedures, such as administering vaccines and conducting developmental assessments
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently
