A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner provides mental health and nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description

Candidates must meet the following

Requirements:

2 years experience working as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Psychiatry and/or Internal/Family Medicine Office. Experience is a plus, but not required. Fresh Graduates are also encouraged to apply. Must be eligible to work in the US with a Texas license. Must be able to work flexible hours (if needed) Must not have any open/pending Malpractice claims. Must be up to date with CME's. Must have knowledge on ADHD, MDD, Anxiety, and Bipolar diagnoses. Pay:

$115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
