NP / PA Disability Examiners Killeen, TX and potentially Uvalde, TX | Per Diem OpsKR is seeking Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability benefit evaluations for veterans in Killeen, Texas, and potentially Uvalde, Texas. Opportunity Overview Per diem opportunities are currently available in Killeen. Providers will be assigned to an established, approved office location to conduct examinations, or may use their own established office if one is already in place. Providers typically see 3 to 5 patients per day. Provider Location Requirement All providers must reside within 25 miles of the designated opportunity location. About the Program OpsKR partners with a federally contracted program that facilitates disability examinations to assist veterans with their benefits claims. Providers conduct evaluations and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure provider portal. Medical records are available for review prior to each examination, and completed DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours of the veteran's appointment. Provider compensation is processed twice monthly. Required Documents and Qualifications Current Curriculum Vitae (CV/resume) Board certification (required for NP and PA applicants) Active Texas medical license Program application and W-9, completed via DocuSign Malpractice insurance (waived for the first 90 days of participation) Access to a laptop for use of the secure provider portal during examinations Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at all approved office locations.
