We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners with wound care experience to provide advanced wound care services throughout Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for an NP who enjoys autonomy, building strong patient relationships, and seeing the direct impact their care has on a patient's healing, mobility, and overall quality of life. Responsibilities may include:
Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Diagnose and manage chronic and complex wounds Perform appropriate wound care procedures and debridement within scope of practice Monitor wound progression and adjust treatment plans as needed Identify patients who may benefit from advanced wound care therapies Educate patients, families, caregivers, and facility staff on wound management and prevention Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate with physicians, home health agencies, facilities, and other members of the patient's care team Follow evidence-based wound care protocols and documentation requirements What We're Looking For Wound care experience is required.
Ideal candidates will have:
Current Texas Nurse Practitioner/APRN licensure Previous hands-on wound care experience Experience with chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, venous/arterial wounds, surgical wounds, or other complex wounds Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills Experience with debridement and advanced wound care therapies preferred Excellent documentation and communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a clinical team Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Dependability and strong time-management skills Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, particularly when serving communities throughout South Texas Serving South Texas We are looking for providers interested in serving patients throughout Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley, including communities such as Mission, McAllen, Edinburg, Harlingen, Brownsville, and surrounding areas.
