Job Description

Nurse Practitioner — New Graduates Encouraged | $100K + Recurring Royalty Synergy Weight Loss Lewisville, TX Job Details Full-time $74,481.33 - $100,000.00 a year 23 hours ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Malpractice insurance Qualifications Spanish Teamwork APRN Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Advanced practice provider Full Job Description We are specifically looking for a new or early-career nurse practitioner. Most practices want an NP who can be dropped into a schedule on day one and left alone.
We want the opposite:
someone at the start of their career who wants to be taught properly, by a physician who is in the building and actually invested in how they turn out. If you are a new grad who has been told you need two years of experience before anyone will look at you — this posting is for you. About Synergy We are a physician-owned, independent primary care and obesity medicine practice in Lewisville, Texas, owned and run by two people: a practicing physician and our CEO. There is no health system above us, no private equity behind us, and no regional manager whose opinion outranks yours about your own patient. We built this practice to see what medicine feels like when you strip out everything that isn't medicine. How You'll Be Trained Your collaborating physician is our Medical Director — dual board-certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine , trained at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, and seeing patients in this clinic alongside you. We pay for the collaboration. You will never write a check to practice. Your prescriptive authority agreement, chart review, and all associated paperwork are handled by us. Your first weeks are shadowing and shared visits , not a full schedule you're expected to survive. Your panel builds gradually and deliberately. We would rather you see ten patients well than twenty badly. When you have a question about a complicated patient, you walk down the hall and ask. Same day. Every day. We will pay for and support your obesity medicine certification. You will finish your first year here knowing how to actually manage diabetes, hypertension, lipids, thyroid disease, and GLP-1 therapy — because someone sat down and taught you. Compensation $72000 - $100,000 base salary. Straight salary, paid monthly. Plus a recurring royalty on every weight-loss subscriber you originate. You earn a monthly royalty for each active subscription patient who started their program with you, paid for as long as that patient stays enrolled. It compounds as your panel grows, and almost no employed NP role in Texas offers anything like it. We will walk you through exactly what this is worth in our first conversation. Signing bonus for the right candidate. Your floor is guaranteed. Your upside comes from keeping patients healthy and engaged — not from grinding out more visits. No RVU targets. No productivity scorecard. No quality-metric clawbacks. What We Removed No annual compliance module marathon. No 40-slide modules on topics you already know, due at midnight. No corporate badge, no six logins. One EHR. You open a chart and you are in it. No productivity dashboard. No color-coded scorecard, no huddle about your throughput. No inbox because we don't encourage patient portals! No call. No weekends. No hospital rounding. No nursing home coverage. If something about how we practice is stupid, we can change it that week. That is the entire advantage of being small and physician-owned, and we use it. Schedule Four-day clinical week available 18 booked slots per day, maximum — a hard ceiling, not a target A real ramp: shared visits for your first weeks, then roughly 10 patients/day for your first quarter, building toward 18/day over your first year as your confidence and panel grow Longer appointment slots for complex and metabolic patients Three weeks of paid time off , accruing monthly and bankable Flexibility on which days you work Benefits Employer-paid malpractice Collaboration costs covered in full Texas APRN license renewal, DEA registration, and national certification renewal reimbursed Short-term disability coverage 401(k) with employer contributions that grow with your tenure here Obesity medicine certification paid for and supported Who We're Looking For Licensed APRN / Nurse Practitioner in Texas , or eligible for Texas licensure FNP or AGNP certification (adult primary care focus) New graduates strongly encouraged. No prior NP experience required. Coachable, curious, and comfortable saying "I don't know — let me ask" Genuine interest in metabolic health, obesity medicine, and GLP-1 therapy Bilingual Spanish is a plus, not a requirement Wants to help build something rather than maintain someone else's machine Where This Goes We are an early-stage practice with a growing panel and a second location in planning. The NP who joins now is not filling a slot — you are the first APP on our clinical team, with a path into Lead APP as we add providers and open our next location. The person who learns this practice from the ground up is the person who runs a piece of it later.
Anticipated start:
Flexible for the right candidate.
To apply:
