Cardiology NP Locums Job in Texas | Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM | Beginning August 3

- Monday
- Friday, 8:00 AM
- 5:00 PM
- 1-hour break daily
- Last patient scheduled at 4:30 PM
- No call required Requirements
- Master of Science degree
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner certification through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
- Active Texas RN license
- Recognition by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Unit or Telemetry experience required
- Cardiac rehabilitation experience required
- Outpatient experience required
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
- Highly Preferred Assignment Details
- Outpatient cardiac rehabilitation clinic setting
- No hospital bedside care
- No procedures required
- No cath lab responsibilities
- Utilize cardiac telemetry monitoring
- Coordinate care with exercise physiologists, rehabilitation technicians, and respiratory therapists
- Provide supervision of rehabilitation technicians
- Highest patient volume on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (approximately 16 patients per day)
- New patient intakes on Tuesday and Friday (approximately 2-4 patients per day)
- Orientation and training with the current Nurse Practitioner requested prior to start
- Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens and body substances (Category I exposure)
