Cardiology NP Locums Job in Texas | Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM | Beginning August 3
  • Ongoing | Assignment #116248 Coverage Details
  • 18-week assignment
  • Monday
  • Friday, 8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM
  • 1-hour break daily
  • Last patient scheduled at 4:30 PM
  • No call required Requirements
  • Master of Science degree
  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner certification through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Active Texas RN license
  • Recognition by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Unit or Telemetry experience required
  • Cardiac rehabilitation experience required
  • Outpatient experience required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
  • Highly Preferred Assignment Details
  • Outpatient cardiac rehabilitation clinic setting
  • No hospital bedside care
  • No procedures required
  • No cath lab responsibilities
  • Utilize cardiac telemetry monitoring
  • Coordinate care with exercise physiologists, rehabilitation technicians, and respiratory therapists
  • Provide supervision of rehabilitation technicians
  • Highest patient volume on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (approximately 16 patients per day)
  • New patient intakes on Tuesday and Friday (approximately 2-4 patients per day)
  • Orientation and training with the current Nurse Practitioner requested prior to start
  • Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens and body substances (Category I exposure)
