Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner for a Rheumatologist practice. The ideal candidate will possess clinical expertise across various medical settings, demonstrating a commitment to delivering comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments by taking detailed histories, performing physical examinations, and evaluating vital signs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with clinical guidelines and patient needs. Prescribe medications and therapies while adhering to DEA regulations and institutional protocols. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) using platforms like ECW to ensure accurate documentation. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Provide health coaching and education tailored to diverse populations, including geriatric patients and individuals with chronic conditions. Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance healthcare standards. Skills Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems in eClinicalWorks for efficient medical documentation. Experience working with internal medicine, family practice or Rheumatology specialty. Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate billing and documentation processes. Strong understanding of pharmacology for medication administration. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Competence in performing diagnostic evaluations utilizing laboratory testing or medical imaging techniques such as sonography or laboratory experience.
