At LGLA, we believe in providing "11-Star Care" through teamwork, efficiency, innovation, and patient-centered service Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive gastroenterology care under the supervision of a physician. This role supports the clinic's mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining clinical excellence, efficiency, and teamwork. The NP evaluates, diagnoses, and manages patients with gastrointestinal and liver-related disorders, provides patient education, develops treatment plans, and collaborates closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes. Both Full-Time and Part-Time schedules are available based on clinic location and patient volume. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform detailed assessments and evaluations of patients presenting with gastrointestinal and liver-related concerns. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies including laboratory work, imaging, and endoscopic results. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, and liver disease. Develop and implement individualized treatment and follow-up care plans based on evidence-based guidelines. Prescribe medications, therapies, and diagnostic interventions as appropriate and within scope of practice. Provide patient education regarding disease processes, medication adherence, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless coordination of care. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical documentation in accordance with LGLA policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in staff meetings, clinical training, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned. Adhere to all clinical, ethical, and legal standards in accordance with Texas Board of Nursing regulations and LGLA protocols.
