Job Description :
Practice address:Baylor Grapevine Hospital Schedule:
Part-Time , including Saturdays & Sundays Inpatient, hospital based No call responsibilities Seeing both new patients (always seen in conjunction with a physician) and follow-up patients; patient consults and follow-up notes All plans of care will be run by the physician on staff Elicit detailed patient histories, conduct physical examinations and document findings Counsel patients and families on health conditions and treatments Support, educate, guide office clinical staff (Nurses, MAs) and office staff (schedulers) in regard to patient care Determine tentative diagnoses and order appropriate diagnostic tests, interpret pathology findings, imaging, laboratory and other results Counsel patient and family on endoscopic indications, findings, potential complications and expected outcomes Achieve proficiency in the practice and EMR Collaborate with referring physicians and offices, hospitalists, surgical partners and other specialties for optimal patient care Maintain in good standing licensure with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:
Active TX State Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner- Required Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Required Highly motivated and enthusiastic
- Required Seeks efficiency
- Required Exhibit professional work standards
- Required Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Required Ability to communicate and work collegially with a wide variety of team members
- Required Gastrointestinal experience
