Full benefits package available Position Summary NextCare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Waco, TX . Our full-time clinicians typically work three 12-hour shifts per week, allowing for more days off than days worked. There are no after-hours tasks, and schedules are released in advance to support better work-life balance. The role offers a broad patient population, varied clinical presentations, and the opportunity to practice independently while having support available when needed. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging Perform urgent care procedures including suturing, splinting, and wound care Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR Code and bill services appropriately Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care expectations Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values Required Qualifications Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or similar high-volume clinical experience required Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license

FNP certification through

ANCC or AANP PA:
