This role combines medical cannabis and wellness care in a unique setting with consistent access to an established patient base. Providers are expected to complete medical cannabis visits efficiently while also recognizing broader wellness needs, educating patients on available treatment options, and helping transition patients into additional care when clinically appropriate.

Pay:

$57.00 per hour This position is performance-based and has the potential for pay increases based on patient outcomes, wellness conversion, patient volume, and overall clinical contribution. Schedule This is a consistent weekly position at our WholesomeCo partner location:

Our providers work with patients across services including: GLP-1 weight management Hormone optimization Ketamine treatment Aesthetics Pain & medication management Sexual Health / Libido Peptide therapy Neuro and wellness support Medical cannabis evaluations And more At WholesomeCo, medical cannabis evaluations are a major part of the role, but they are not the only focus. Working within a dispensary gives our providers a unique opportunity to meet patients who are already actively looking for ways to improve symptoms and quality of life. Providers are expected to look beyond the immediate reason for the visit, identify additional areas where the patient may benefit from care, and educate them on appropriate Empathetix wellness services. A cannabis visit may open the door to a conversation about sleep, weight, hormones, pain, mood, energy, or another ongoing concern. We want a provider who is comfortable asking the right questions, identifying those opportunities, and helping patients take the next step when clinically appropriate. Responsibilities Medical Cannabis Complete medical cannabis evaluations and renewals Review patient history, symptoms, medications, and treatment goals Determine appropriate medical cannabis recommendations based on patient needs Complete required charting and documentation Educate patients on their treatment plan and answer questions during the visit Identify additional wellness needs that may benefit from Empathetix services Wellness Care Conduct consultations for weight management, hormone therapy, ketamine, peptides, and other wellness services Review labs and develop appropriate treatment plans Manage ongoing wellness patients and follow-up care Administer in-clinic treatments, including IM and B12 injections, when needed Educate patients on available wellness treatments and programs Introduce appropriate wellness options during patient visits Help transition interested patients into appropriate wellness programs Follow up with patients as needed to support continuity of care Patient Experience & Partnership Build trust quickly and create a comfortable patient experience Communicate confidently about both cannabis and wellness care Take initiative in identifying opportunities to provide patients with additional support Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with WholesomeCo staff Represent Empathetix professionally within the partner location Participate in wellness and community events as scheduled Requirements Active, unrestricted Utah Nurse Practitioner license Utah QMP/RMP certification or willingness to obtain DEA license and Utah Controlled Substance License Comfortable administering injections independently or willing to learn quickly Strong communication and patient education skills Comfortable discussing multiple wellness treatment options Able to work independently and take initiative Available for the consistent Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday schedule Reliable transportation Willing to provide occasional coverage at other Empathetix locations Genuine interest in medical cannabis and wellness medicine We can train the right provider on Empathetix workflows, Utah medical cannabis processes, wellness services, and our clinical systems.
