Position Summary:
Our busy dermatology department is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide direct clinical services to patients Perform comprehensive dermatologic examinations and assessments Collect and document patient medical histories, examination findings, and relevant data Interpret clinical data to develop preliminary diagnoses and treatment plans Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to manage acute and chronic patient needs Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic and laboratory tests Perform approved therapeutic and diagnostic procedures based on patient condition Document patient preparation, procedures, and outcomes in the medical record Develop and implement treatment plans for dermatologic conditions Prescribe or recommend medications and other treatments as appropriate Communicate effectively with patients and respond to questions with clarity and professionalism Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and decision-making Participate in continuous quality improvement and apply feedback to enhance performance Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current national certification as an NP or PA Active license/certification in the State of Utah (or eligibility to obtain) Dermatology experience preferred, but not required
