Chesapeake Internists Limited Position Overview:

Chesapeake Internists Limited, a well-established internal medicine practice in Chesapeake, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) to join our team to provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients aged 18 and older.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for adult patients. Manage common acute and chronic conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory illnesses. Perform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings. Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications. Conduct women's health screenings, including Pap smears and pelvic exams. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications:

Education:

Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)

Experience:

Experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Licensure:

Active Virginia license or eligibility to obtain.

Skills:

Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
