A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner provides mental health and nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description

Southern Virginia post acute care facility, located on the North Carolina state line, is seeking a Psychiatric NP/PA to join their team. This position is a "round and go" model, allowing you to set your own schedule. Board certification in psychiatry or minimum of 2 years of direct psych prescription management experience.
  • Base salary with uncapped productivity compensation paid biweekly.
  • W2 position.
