Job Description

Position:
Nurse Practitioner (Full-Time) If you enjoy working with patients with a focus on preventative medicine that emphasizes healthy weight loss goals and overall wellness, then consider joining our team at Physicians Premiere Weight & Wellness Center! Physicians Premiere Weight & Wellness Center is a leading outpatient weight and wellness clinic in Northern Virginia. We utilize an evidence-based comprehensive approach including medical (history and exam, blood work, EKG & medications if indicated), nutritional, behavioral, and exercise support. We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner with an interest in obesity medicine. Communication skills, empathy, health and nutritional education skills and a coaching mindset is essential for the position. Being able to review and apply evidence-based guidelines with patients and to provide nutritional and behavioral support is important. You will work under the Medical Director, who is a board certified physician in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. Experience in primary care, family medicine, obesity medicine are preferred. Any additional training will be provided.
Pay :
From $125,000/year plus incentive bonus
Roles and Responsibilities:
See patients Monday to Friday, one evening per week. One 1/2 day a week. Conduct medical exams, order and interpret pertinent labs and EKG, and prescribe and manage FDA-approved obesity medications for patients. Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion while developing trust and rapport. Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with obesity and its comorbidities. Implement evidence-based medical and psychosocial interventions for obesity. Work in a team with other clinical support staff. Be proficient with the use of electronic medical record (we use EClinicalWorks). Training will be provided. Maintain patient confidentiality. Follow established evaluation and treatment protocols as well as office procedures. Communicate effectively with the medical team.
Candidate Requirements:
Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school, licensed by the state board in Virginia, and have strong references. NP Degree with certification, no specialization needed. 1+ year of clinical experience in an outpatient office (preferred); primary care, family medicine, obesity medicine all preferred. Credentialed with all major insurance companies in Virginia - Credentialing will be done by
LMG. DEA
license. Computer literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Empathic personality, and an enjoyment in caring for patients directly. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor A positive attitude showing initiative and willingness to adapt to change
