Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure and certification reimbursements (when applicable) Robust referral bonus program Dedicated 24/7 support team What You'll Do Provide urgent care services including laceration repairs, suturing, I&D procedures, foreign body removal, and skin lesion care Manage minor burns, orthopedic injuries, splinting, and joint reduction Conduct diagnostics such as X-ray interpretation and point-of-care testing (rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, blood glucose) Administer nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR Handle episodic trauma and higher acuity cases, referring complex cases to higher-level facilities as needed What You Need Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia Active BLS certification Prior urgent care or emergency department experience (minimum 2+ years preferred) Strong skills in suturing, incision & drainage, point-of-care testing, and trauma stabilization About the Assignment This locum position is based at a leading outpatient clinic in Glen Allen, VA, supporting high patient volumes requiring quick, effective care across a broad patient age range. The clinic operates daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with shifts tailored to patient flow. The role is ideal for providers seeking flexible hours with excellent support and competitive pay.
