Job Description

Orthopedic NP/PA Opportunity at Southside Regional Medical Center! The Orthopedics team at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the team! This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, trauma-focused environment where every day brings something new. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a high level of orthopedic skill, and the ability to function independently in both clinic and office settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage patients in a busy orthopedic clinic environment Perform splinting, casting, and suturing with proficiency Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of orthopedic injuries, including 10-12 fracture cases per week on the high end Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and medical staff in the care of trauma patients Conduct follow-up visits, post-operative care, and patient education Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Bon Secours standards Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a clinic where every day is different
Qualifications:
Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Virginia (or eligible for licensure) Orthopedic experience required; trauma experience strongly preferred Strong procedural skills including splinting, casting, and suturing Excellent clinical judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration
