Locums About the Facility This correctional facility provides outpatient primary care services to an adult population in a secure clinical environment in Washington state. The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and is supported by on-site medical assistants, physicians, and nurse practitioners. Credentialing for this position is estimated at 1-2 weeks. About the Facility Location Washington state offers a range of regional attractions and outdoor recreation opportunities throughout its diverse landscape. Residents and visitors have access to year-round activities spanning coastal areas, mountain ranges, and forested regions, making the state a destination for varied recreational pursuits across all seasons. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide outpatient primary care services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The expected caseload is 8-16 patients per day, with clinical responsibilities encompassing injury management, acute illness treatment, follow-up visits, physicals, complicated chronic care management, urgent care, and minor procedures. Required credentials include an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine board certification (negotiable), BLS, Washington state license, DEA registration, and COVID vaccination; prescriptive authority is required. Clinicians with experience in corrections-based healthcare and comfort performing sutures and injections are preferred, though these qualifications are not required.
