Join our growing organization! We have an exciting opportunity for a Bariatric & Weight Management Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) . Surgical Associates of Neenah, S. C. is a private practice and has been providing surgical expertise since we opened our doors in 1967. It is an exciting time to join our team and help guide our continued success and growth through our services and footprint while providing excellence in patient care and experience! As a Bariatric and weight management APP, your focus will be on providing care to patients considering or undergoing bariatric surgery, with an emphasis on pre-operative assessments, post-surgical care plans, lifestyle modifications, and ongoing weight management strategies; essentially acting as a key part of a multidisciplinary bariatric team. Responsibilities Prepare patients for bariatric surgery by conducting pre-operative evaluations, discussing surgical options, and managing expectations. Provide post-surgical care including closely monitoring patients, rounding on surgical patients, providing discharge instructions, and addressing potential complications. Provide long-term post- surgical care to include management of patients' weight loss journey, providing diet and exercise guidance tailored to their specific needs, skin issues, monitoring vitamin levels, and providing overall support for their long-term weight maintenance. Collaborate with the bariatric team of surgeons, dietitians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Requirements and Qualifications Must hold the necessary licenses or certifications for either a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant.
