Job Description

What You Will Do:
The NNP and/or NICU experienced PA manage critically ill neonatal patients using collaboration, consultation and direct care. Independent practice of NNPs occurs in the specialized NICU at our newly implemented couplet care birthing unit at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. The NNP/PAs collaborates with neonatologists at our Level 3 NICU at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. The NNP/PAs are involved with the ongoing education of nursing staff, residents, and students. Maintains credentials with procedural privileges through the medical staff offices at WMH and OMH. Maintains Neonatal NCC certification Participates in multidisciplinary mortality and morbidity rounds Participates and coordinates as needed in research activities within the NICU. Provides procedural support to the ED for newborn/infant code blue.
Qualifications:
Displays a positive attitude about themselves, work and staff. Possesses excellent communication skills. Meets all necessary competencies within 6 months of hire. Possesses computer skills. BLS and NRP upon hire Master Degree required Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license with the State of WI NICU experience preferred #NICU ProHealth Care, one of the largest employers in Waukesha County, offers work that is challenging and rewarding.
