Education:

MSN or DNP from an accredited program

Licensure:

RN license + national NP certification (AANP, ANCC, APRN, etc.) Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Qualifications & Skills Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric Nursing Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or another relevant certifying body Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a focus on psychiatry Experience in a clinical psychiatric setting Experience in our willingness to work with some abuse and IDD populations and all ages Knowledge of current mental health laws and ethical standards Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems Experience with a diverse patient population Leadership and management abilities Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Key responsibilities include:

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

Conducting mental health evaluations, psychiatric assessments, and risk assessments for conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and substance use disorders

Treatment Planning and Implementation:

Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs Developing individualized care plans, prescribing medications, and providing psychotherapy or counseling as appropriate

Patient Education and Support:

Educating patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies •

Collaboration and Supervision:

Working with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals; supervising registered nurses or nursing assistants when necessary

Pay:

$123,119.53 - $148,272.98 per year
