Job Description

Join a Mission-Driven Team in Alaska's Mat-Su Valley Mat-Su Health Services (MSHS), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a compassionate and driven Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or Physician Assistant) to join our integrated care team. At MSHS, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused setting while working alongside a collaborative team providing whole-person care -including primary care, behavioral health, dental, and psychiatry services. Position Summary Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Advanced Practice Provider delivers comprehensive, team-based primary care services to patients across the lifespan. This role emphasizes preventative care, chronic disease management, and integrated behavioral health collaboration . Key Responsibilities Provide direct primary care services in an outpatient setting Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and psychiatric providers Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives Support care coordination and population health efforts Promote patient education and preventative care strategies Our Mission Dedicated to improving the health of our community, one person at a time-through affordable medical, dental and behavioral health care attracts and inspires a caring, competent work force. Qualifications Required:
Licensed APRN (Family or similar) or Physician Assistant in the State of Alaska Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority Graduate of an accredited program Ability to work in a team-based, integrated care environment
Preferred:
Experience in a community health center or rural health setting Familiarity with underserved populations Experience with electronic health records What You'll Bring Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered approach Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to serving rural and underserved communities Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment Additional Requirements Ability to pass background check and meet credentialing requirements BLS certification (or obtained shortly after hire) Compliance with all MSHS policies and regulatory standards
