$19/hr Please let me know if you would like to submit Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Local! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients across various settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your expertise will support the healthcare team by assisting with daily activities, vital signs, and basic medical procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems Support medical procedures by preparing patients and equipment for treatments like catheter care or phlebotomy under supervision Maintain patient safety through proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Document patient information clearly and thoroughly in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery Assist with patient transfers using appropriate transfer methods and ensure adherence to infection control protocols such as aseptic technique Requirements Valid CNA certification recognized in the local jurisdiction with current licensure or registration Experience working with diverse patient populations including long-term care residents, seniors, pediatric patients, or individuals with developmental disabilities Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient record management Familiarity with medical terminology related to geriatrics, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), behavioral health, and acute/chronic conditions Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) certification including CPR; additional certifications like phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus Prior experience in hospital settings such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), or emergency medicine is highly desirable Strong caregiving skills with excellent communication abilities; compassionate approach to patient service and family interaction Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling; capable of working long shifts while maintaining attention to detail Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care!
