Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality patient care across diverse healthcare settings. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately. Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of disease. Document patient care activities thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize patient transfer methods safely, including Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices, to prevent injury. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health needs. Assist with medication administration under supervision and support medication management processes. Ensure safe manual handling practices during patient transfers or repositioning to minimize injury risks. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote understanding and comfort. Experience Prior experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care facilities or hospitals is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner enhances documentation efficiency. Experience providing care in specialized settings including ICU, emergency medicine, hospice, or psychiatric units is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders. Experience handling medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or DME (durable medical equipment) is preferred. Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities ensure effective patient interactions and team collaboration.
