Responsibilities include:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Assist with dental and oral care. Assist residents with bowel and bladder needs. Provide peri-care and catheter care as directed by nursing staff. Assist residents with positioning and repositioning in bed. Assist with transfers to and from beds, chairs, wheelchairs, bathtubs, and other areas as needed. Take and accurately record vital signs. Observe residents and report changes in condition or behavior to the supervising nurse. Assist residents with mobility and ambulation as appropriate. Maintain resident comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety. Follow individualized resident care plans and instructions from the nursing team. Follow infection prevention and safety procedures. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. Perform additional resident-care duties as directed by the nursing supervisor. Qualifications Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the State of Alabama OR currently in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Must be able to work the assigned schedule. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Compassionate and respectful when working with residents. Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team. Ability to safely lift at least 50 pounds . Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or senior care experience is preferred but not required.
