Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver/CNA to join our team in a part-time capacity, providing essential support to an individual in a residential setting. This role involves working four hours per day on rotating weeks, with a schedule of two days one week and three days the next, ensuring consistent and reliable care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in various caregiving environments, including assisted living, nursing homes, or home health settings. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance to residents or clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring using appropriate patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques. Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare providers. Prepare meals and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients, fostering a respectful and engaging environment. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or similar caregiving credential preferred. Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care best practices. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, medication administration Strong understanding of resident's rights and confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
