Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments and equipment according to strict aseptic protocols. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical supplies with precision. Support patient positioning and safety measures before and during procedures to optimize outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, nurses, and physicians to facilitate seamless surgical workflows. Ensure compliance with healthcare infection prevention standards and sterilization procedures for all medical equipment and instruments. Skills Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to various surgical specialties. Proven experience assisting in complex surgeries such as laparoscopy, orthopedic, endoscopy, robotics and other ambulatory procedures. Proficiency in handling surgical instruments and medical equipment operation with precision. Strong analysis skills for assessing patient data like vital signs and physiological responses during surgery. Familiarity with operating room environment. Expertise in infection control practices including aseptic technique and healthcare-associated infection prevention strategies.
